Day 1
Days 1-2: Fly to Yogyakarta

Fly overnight to Yogyakarta, the cultural and historical center of Java, for a three-night stay.

Day 2
Day 3: Discover Yogyakarta

Visit today the Sultan’s Palace and the moated Taman Sari. Later you will get to know the art of making shadow puppets, a traditional craft before you stroll through the Beringharjo market. Dine tonight in a Javanese house with a local family.

Day 4: Yogyakarta's Hidden Corners

Explore the city’s hidden attractions, visit a Buddhist Vihara, a traditional 1300-year-old medical store and the Puro Pakualaman, the palace of the princely state of Pakualaman. The afternoon is at leisure before exploring vibrant Malioboro Road.

Day 4: Yogyakarta's Hidden Corners

Far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts.

Day 5: Historical Kotagede

Day 6: Borobudur Sunrise

Get up early to witness a magical sunrise in enigmatic Borobudur, a 1,200-year-old temple considered the largest Buddhist edifice in the world, picturesquely set amidst tropical vegetation. Follow in the footsteps of ancient pilgrims to learn more about the complex before taking a look at rural life in nearby Candirejo and visiting the village by horse-drawn carriage.

Day 7
Day 7: Mount Merapi by Jeep

Transfer to Solo. Stop en route to explore the spectacular Turgo Hills by jeep. Drive to a vantage point where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding area, including Mount Merapi. Browse the Sisa Hartaku Mini Museum before heading to Kaliurang to visit the Museum of Mount Merapi and enjoy a Javanese buffet with sweeping views of the rice fields and volcano.

Day 8
Day 8: Discover Solo

The city of Solo is an epicenter of Javanese culture and offers a wonderfully authentic insight into traditional island life. Explore the streets on a Bécak ride and take a break at the Triwindu Market to browse the antiques. Visit the batik village of Laweyan this afternoon to learn more about this Javanese craft.

Day 9
Day 9: Scenic train ride

Get off the train at the Solo Station to Jombang and take a scenic drive through the countryside to East Java. On arrival transfer to Bromo. The steep hills of Tengger Valley are at the foot of the spectacular Tengger Massif and the famous Mt. Bromo

Day 10
Day 10: Mt Bromo Sunrise

Get up early and drive the jeep to Gunung Penanjakan for an epic sunrise over Bromo and the surrounding area. Cross the sand sea, a nature reserve, and drive to Bromo, where you can climb the 245 steps to the edge and look down into the crater.

Day 11
Day 11: Journey to Surabaya

Drive to Surabaya, the capital of East Java. Visit the quirky House of Sampoerna, a cigarette factory in an old Dutch colonial building with a fascinating museum.

Day 12
Day 12: Fly to Flores

Transfer back to Yogyakarta and fly to Flores Island, a lush tropical island and gateway to the Komodo National Park.

Day 13
Day 13: Komodo National Park

Enjoy a full-day boat trip to Komodo National Park. On the island of Komodo, take a parking attendant to the Banunggulung riverbed. Get your camera ready as you search for huge Komodo dragons and enjoy this unusual island. Later, you can swim and snorkel on beautiful Pink Beach and the paradisiacal Kanawa Island.

Day 14
Day 14: Kelor And Rinca Islands

A second full-day adventure in the Komodo National Park includes visits to the Kelor and Rinca Islands, two of the many tropical gems in the area. Walk with a local ranger to find Komodo dragons, tropical birds, buffaloes, deer and pigs. Continue to the tiny island of Sembilan, where you can swim in crystal clear waters and discover the enchanting jellyfish lake!

We can only guarantee bookings made at least 3-working days (not including Sun & Public holidays) before the departure date.
