Itinerary
When you arrive in the bustling Ho Chi Minh City, still known as “Saigon” by many locals, your guide will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Your room is available for use.
The hotel’s check-in time is 2:00 pm, and if you want to secure an early check-in, there will be an additional charge.
Optional: We introduce one-of-a-kind traditional performances found only in Vietnam: Water Puppet Show, in which puppets are performed on a water stage with folk music, presenting ancient tales, folklore, and daily life in the Vietnamese countryside. If you’re interested in seeing the shows, please contact one of our travel consultants to make a reservation.
Please be aware that both international and domestic flights may be crowded at times during the day, so if you arrive and are unable to locate our office, please contact us!
Meet our tour guide in the hotel lobby and begin our journey to the Cu Chi Tunnels, which are approximately 70 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City. The attraction is a collection of underground tunnels and construction, ranging from a hospital to bedrooms and ammunition storage, that was used as a military camp by North Vietnam’s army during the Civil War (1955– 1975). You can crawl through some of the tunnels to learn more about the Vietnam War, or you can touch a real gun with the firing-gun services available here (with an additional charge).
On the way back to Ho Chi Minh City, we stopped for lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, take in the sights of Ho Chi Minh City. At the War Remnants Museum, you can see examples of French colonial architecture while also learning about Vietnam’s turbulent history. Our guide will take you to the most interesting sights in Ho Chi Minh City. Depart from your hotel for the Reunification Palace, which was the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam. The American War officially ended here on April 30, 1975. Following that, we go to the Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral, which was built in 1880, and the Old Post Office, which was built between 1886 and 1891. It is one of the best examples of classical French colonial architecture in the world. Our final stop would be at a local market, where you could hone your bargaining skills while shopping for souvenirs. Discover the local way of life and culture.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City
Escape the city for a tour of the Mekong Delta, where you’ll see what life is like outside of the south’s urban core. The Mekong Delta’s primary industry is food production, accounting for roughly half of Vietnam’s total agricultural output. Local life in the area revolves around the rivers and canals that make up the delta, so much so that people prefer to travel by river rather than a road. Enjoy the fresh air and the tranquility of the countryside, which is still untouched by tourism. Board a boat and discover the diversity of the Mekong waterways as you visit fish farms and exotic fruit farms. You could be forgiven for thinking you’ve stepped into the pages of a novel while touring the Mekong Delta’s orchards, paddy fields, and swamplands.
Overnight in hotel in Can Tho
Early morning wake-up call with a “must-see” floating market in Can Tho. Travel by motor boat and sampan through the Mekong and its natural network of canals, shaded by water coconut trees. Taste seasonal fruits fresh from the orchard, meet friendly locals and explore the region’s vibrant floating markets. After the tour, your tour guide and driver will return you to Ho Chi Minh City. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
