Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)

Upon arrival at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. This is Vietnam's capital and celebrated its anniversary of 1,000 years in 2010. Historical emphasis on the arts and learning stipulates that buildings in Hanoi remain small, simple and in harmony with nature. You will have the afternoon at your leisure before an evening welcome dinner at a local restaurant and an overnight stay in Hanoi.

Day 2: The French Colonial Style Hanoi City tour (B,L)

On day two, you will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (where the preserved body of "Uncle Ho" may be viewed), his nearby house on stilts, the lotus-shaped One Pillar Pagoda, Quan Thanh Temple, the Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, and other lesser-known museums. Following lunch at a local restaurant, you will enjoy a one-hour cyclo ride around Hanoi's Old Quarter. Then you will be transferred to a Traditional Medication Center with 120 mins Traditional Therapy including Soaking in Herbal Basin, Acupressure massage, warm herbal compress and light meal. In the late afternoon, you will enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 3: Halong Bay – Lan Ha Bay & overnight on Heritage Cruises ( B/L/D)

  • 8:00 – 8:30 You will be greeted at your hotel to take the new highway to Got Ferry Terminal, Cat Hai Town, Haiphong City. You will travel on the longest bridge in Southeast Asia and be greeted at our lounge before boarding.
  • 12:30 Board the Heritage Cruises boat and enjoy a welcome drink as you receive a cruise briefing, safety instructions and check in to your suite. Lunch is served at L’Indochine Restaurant.
  • 12:40 Cruise to Da Chong islet, where you can see a heritage lighthouse built by the French more than 100 years ago. After lunch, cruise to Gia Luan Lagoon where limestone karst formations rise out of the sea. This quiet bay is untouched and remote, as not many cruise ships visit.
  • 15:30 The cruise vessel approaches the Ba Trai Dao or Three Peach beaches in Lan Ha Bay, a natural frontier between the provinces of Halong and Haiphong. This secret hideaway has beaches, caves, and coves, plus the spectacular natural beauty of about 400 islands. Guests can try kayaking or simply swim in the clear waters of the bay.
  • 17:30 Back on Heritage Cruises, enjoy life aboard the vessel or in your suite, and with a cocktail in hand watch the sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin.
  • 18:30 Activities include afternoon tea and the chef will lead a Vietnamese cookery class.

DAY 2 – Monday: Hanoi Jeep Tour - SIC Tour (B)

Today, depart from hanoi for a 2.5-hour drive to Tuan Chau harbour via the new highway. You will be welcomed aboard and set sail through the bay while lunch is served. You will pass through the magical bay, where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waves like dragons' teeth.

After lunch, you will take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay dotted with golden sails, and then go swimming on a quiet beach or sunbathing on the sundeck. Later in the afternoon, you will visit an interesting fishing village with the opportunity to interact with fishermen who have been living in the bay for almost three generations. Back on board, you can enjoy cocktails while watching the sunset. Later, you will unwind at a lavish dinner before an overnight stay on the deluxe junk. Overnight on cruise.

DAY 3 – Tuesday: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)

Greet the day with a morning Tai Chi session, with an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, you will visit a beautiful limestone grotto and then go back to the boat for a final glimpse of Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. Checkout is at 11:45 am and the boat arrives at the harbor by noon for the drive back to Hanoi.

Evening: A Historic Farewell Feast As the sun begins its descent, arrive at the ancient Poshanu Tower. DAY 10 - Tuesday: SJourney Train – Ninh Thuan (B/L/D)

The train is scheduled to reach Sai Gon station at 5:00 am. Guests will savor breakfast until 8:30 am. At 9:00 am, check-out procedures commence. Our driver will pick you up at Saigon Railway Station, you will be transferred to hotel (The room might not be ready until check in time is at 02.00PM). Free at leisure until 01.00PM, the guide will come to pick you up by vintage vespa to Discover the hidden gems of Saigon.

Experience the excitement of modern day Ho Chi Minh City riding pillion on our vintage Vespas. Get off the crowded tourist trail to visit some fascinating places and sites than you could never find on your own. Description: Starting the ride in the busy city streets to a Cafe in central Saigon where we enjoy the morning coffee with the bird lovers before visiting the famous and thought invoking Burning Monk Memorial Statue. Our adventurous mix of historic landmarks and hidden treasures continues as we soak up the local culture at a fresh flower market and then a bright and vibrant fabric market. We zoom through Saigon traffic on the back of our comfortable Vespas to the captivating Chinese district, visiting a traditional medicine street with traditional medical herb shops, an ancient Buddhist temple and a hidden Chinese pagoda. Our final ride takes us into the heart of Saigon to see some classic city landmarks. Firstly, see the French architectural influences of the famous Saigon Post Office and beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral (outside only), before we end with a short history lesson outside the striking Independence Palace. Let our local guides show you their city, their Saigon.

DAY 11 - Wednesday: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival – Discover the hidden Saigon by Vespa (B)

08.oo am: Our guide and driver will take you to Cai Be. The program will start with a quick visit of Cai Be. We can walk around this orchard & enjoy some fruits when listening to the traditional music at local garden. Then, the rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals to enjoy the peaceful time. Back to our boat to go across one of the longest rivers in the world, Mekong River, to come to An Bình Island. Enjoy Lunch at an ancient house. After lunch, we can walk in the local village to visit the local workshop to see how to make rice paper, coconut candy, pop-rice... Enjoy some sweets with a cup of hot tea.

Optional biking can be made for a leisure! It will be so amazing to bike on village paths to see the local daily life: orchard, school, church, pagoda, traditional houses... Visit the brick kilns where you can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay. The cruise will end at Vinh Long city. You will then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 12 - Thursday: Explore Mekong Delta (B/L)

Free at leisure until transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your flight back home or to next destination.

DAY 13 - Friday: Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)
