2. Design inspiration from “Small inn beside the Opera House”
The Opera House is renowned for being a creative hub. Many great and well-known artists have come to perform here. The elite, wealthy, and powerful also visit this location to enjoy the music at the same time. They then decided to pull each other to a bar in a neighboring modest inn to mingle and display their love for art.
The inn was very simple at first, but it was the special guests who frequented it that influenced the design as well as the interior decoration. Over time, it became a hotel, a destination not to be missed when visiting the Opera House or the center of Hanoi.
Once by chance, architect Bill Bensley knew the story of people who stopped at the inn. It was his love of art that prompted him to persuade the innkeeper to build a high-class hotel here but still keep the unique architecture. Accordingly, his design ideas were formed based on the combination with Art Deco architectural features. Along with that are new creations, never seen anywhere else.
