Today, depart from Hanoi for a 2.5-hour drive to Tuan Chau harbor via the new highway. You will be welcomed aboard and set sail through the bay while lunch is served. You will pass through the magical bay, where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waves like dragons’ teeth.
After lunch, you will take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay dotted with golden sails, and then go swimming on a quiet beach or sunbathing on the sundeck. Experience the excitement of modern-day Ho Chi Minh City riding pillion on our vintage Vespas. Description: Start the ride in the busy city streets to a Cafe in central Saigon where we enjoy the morning coffee with the bird lovers before visiting the famous and thought-provoking Burning Monk Memorial Statue. Our adventurous mix of historic landmarks and hidden treasures continues as we soak up the local culture at a fresh flower market and then a bright and vibrant fabric market. We zoom through Saigon traffic on the back of our comfortable Vespas to the captivating Chinese district, visiting a traditional medicine street with traditional medical herb shops, an ancient Buddhist temple, and a hidden Chinese pagoda. 08.00 am: Our guide and driver will take you to Cai Be. The program will start with a quick visit to Cai Be. We can walk around this orchard & enjoy some fruits while listening to the traditional music at the local garden. Then, the rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals to enjoy a peaceful time. Back to our boat to go across one of the longest rivers in the world, the Mekong River, to come to An Bình Island. Enjoy Lunch at an ancient house. After lunch, we can walk in the local village to visit the local workshop to see how to make rice paper, coconut candy, pop-rice… Enjoy some sweets with a cup of hot tea.
An optional cycling tour can be made for leisure! It will be so amazing to bike on village paths to see the local daily life: orchard, school, church, pagoda, traditional houses… Visit the brick kilns where you can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay.
