Embark on an enriching 3-day, 2-night expedition to Sapa, where the dramatic landscapes of northern Vietnam unfold in a tapestry of terraced rice fields and mist-shrouded mountains. Guided treks through the Sapa Valley reveal the timeless beauty of the region, offering encounters with ethnic minority villages like the Hmong, Red Dao, and Tay, each a bastion of unique traditions and vibrant cultures. A cable car ascent to Fansipan, the highest peak in Indochina, unveils awe-inspiring panoramas. Delve into the heart of local life with a homestay, sharing meals and cultural experiences with a host family. The journey extends to Ban Ho Village, where a majestic waterfall and picturesque surroundings await. This 3-day sojourn in Sapa promises a harmonious blend of nature, culture, and authentic encounters, etching indelible memories of Vietnam’s highland charm.
This morning, Limousine bus will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter for transfer to Sapa. Upon arrival Sapa, you will check in hotel. Afternoon, our guide in Sapa will pick you up at your hotel, commence your short journey by driving south toward Muong Hoa valley. You will then start your walk by descending into the valley, which is the largest rice paddy terraced among Sapa area. The guide can provide you interesting information about rice. If you visit the valley sometime in between May and October, you will be able to observe and experience how the local do planting and harvesting, one of the most important activities in the daily life. The walk takes you from Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority to Ta Van village of Giay minority. Transfer back to hotel. Overnight in Sapa.
Depart Sapa on an 8km (5mi) drive to the start of the O Quy Ho Mountain Pass along the Hoang Lien Son mountain range with several stops for photos of stunning Mount Fansipan and Sin Chai Valley. Turn and follow a narrow tarmac road, passing forests and waterfalls before arriving at the Ban Khoang Commune, home to the Black H’mong and Red Dzao ethnic groups. Walk to explore this remote village for an overview of local life. Then drive to the Ta Giang Phinh Valley, inhabited by the Black H’mong who live in several hamlets along a peaceful stream. Enjoy lunch on the banks of the stream, followed by a 2hr walk through wild and unspoiled scenery with imposing mountains and picturesque terraced fields. Observe the local villagers engaging in their daily activities including ploughing, harrowing, harvesting and handicrafts. Mid-afternoon, meet the car and return to Sapa. Overnight in Sapa
Free at your leisure to explore Sapa city until transfer back to Hanoi by Limousine bus. Drop off at your hotel in Hanoi. Trip ends
