Embark on a captivating 3-day, 2-night journey with our Moken Village Immersion tour at Koh Prathong. Nestled in the pristine Andaman Sea, this adventure invites you to discover the enchanting Moken Village, a sea gypsy community with a rich maritime heritage. Immerse yourself in their centuries-old traditions as you engage in hands-on experiences, from learning traditional fishing techniques to crafting boats under the guidance of the skilled Moken people.
This tour promises a harmonious blend of cultural discovery, sustainable travel, and natural beauty, offering a unique opportunity to connect with the Moken community and the untouched wonders of Koh Prathong.
Pick up from the pier by long tail boat. Take a boat for about 15 minutes to Koh Phrathong, Ban Thung Dap. At Koh Phra Thong pier, there is a car waiting to pick you up to the accommodation. During the way ride to the accommodation, the car will drive through the village. You will see villagers repairing fishing gear. Make squid traps, fix nets, etc where you can stop by the car to talk and watch this activity with the villagers (on request), and continue to the accommodation (Homestay)
- The accommodation is simple, 1 house for 2 people, there is a mosquito net and fan provided,
with a private bathroom but no water heater.
- Bathing by lap with a bowl, no dressing table, and no amenities
- Recommend bringing along your own towels, soap, combs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mosquito & insect repellent.
After checking in enjoy a local set lunch then take a tractor ride along the beach to see the surrounding atmosphere. There is some activity to learn how to fish sandfish with nets and collect oysters. Return to the accommodation, free time at leisure to relax on the beach and enjoy a beautiful sunset. Learn how to Weave palm fronds or coconut leaves into animal shapes ‐ keep it as a souvenir. Time for dinner. 21:00 hrs. Escort you to see the Sambar deer, endemic animals of Ko Phra Thong (the kind of deer that are active at night) and return to accommodation.
Overnight at the Homestay
Start a new day by escort you to watch the first light in the savannah. Take a 4 wheel drive to visit the savannah. (Villagers call "Ya Suea Morp") Swamp forest with Samet trees growing around.
Covering an area of approximately 30,000 rai, where it is a warm home for Sambar deer, the endemic animals that the villagers help take care of and conserve, as well as wild boars, Adjutant Birds, etc. Return to the accommodation and have breakfastใ
Free time at leisure, you can enjoy swimming, sunbathing, relaxing on the beach
12:00-13:00 hrs. Enjoy Lunch
After lunch, will escort you by Canoeing (self paddling) to see the mangrove ecosystem, see the way of life, plants, and sea animals such as shellfish, crabs, and fish (1 canoe for 2 persons)
Free time and relaxing at leisure
19:00-20:00 hrs. Time for Dinner Overnight at the Homestay.

Enjoy and learn how to make a traditional Moken dessert from local "Kanom Jak" that is made from flour and coconut

- 12.00 p.m. Transfer from the accommodation to the pier and take a long-tailed boat back to Kuraburi Pier followed by a van transfer back to Phuket.

After receiving your payment, we will issue you the hotel voucher and/or final confirmation itinerary, which can be sent to you by fax or e-mail.
You can amend your booking when the confirmation is made. Just contact us at [email protected] with your booking number. Our reservations team is glad to amend your booking accordingly. The extra expense may occurred will be informed to you before you decide to amend the services or travel date.
NON REFUNDABLE deposit of US$ 100 per person upon the packages tours services confirmation will be applied.
Cancellations will be charged as follow:

+ No refund will be given for any unused service after the trip has commenced or during the tour.
Metta Voyage Co.,ltd is not responsible for any loss, injury or damage sustained by passengers. Additional expenses incurred due to delays, accidents, natural disaster, epidemic or political actions and unrest must be borne by the passengers. Passengers are required to have full travel insurance.
Airline schedules and local conditions may affect accommodation and itineraries. Should this occur, Metta Voyage Co.,ltd will endeavor to substitute a suitable arrangement of similar value. Participation on any tours implies full agreement to the above conditions by all parties involved.
Your passport must be valid for at least six months following your entry date to your travel destination.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of a valid passport and visa and all travel documents are valid for travel.
Travel insurance is not included in your tour price. It is the passenger's responsibility to verify whether his/her local health insurance carrier provides coverage while traveling. Please contact your insurance carrier for details. We can suggest you the insurance carrier case by case.
Metta Voyage Co., ltd strongly advises that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover all aspects of your tour: the loss of deposits through cancellation, lost of baggage and personal items, personal injury and death. A waiver must be signed if insurance is declined.
