Hoang Su Phi is a rural district of Ha Giang province in the Northeast region of Vietnam. The destination is famous for its rice field terraces, especially the terraced fields on the road between Hoang Su Phi and Xin Man, where those terraces are classified as a National Heritage.
When joining this trip you will be provided a wide range of Hoang Su Phi trekking tours, offering you the chance to enjoy beautiful natural landscape of this region, and also to experience the rich ethnic culture. When you take this Combined Luxury & Rustic Trip, you are supposed to be lodged 01 night in Panhou Retreat and one night in a local Homestays that are quite simple and basic. More than a hidden gem, Panhou Retreat is a place where nature meets legend. A place that offers you pure nature, vibrant culture, and services that come from the heart.
At 6h30 AM: Our bus will come to pick you up at your hotel in Old Quarter. Take a 5 hours transfer through National Road to Hoang Su Phi. You are arriving at Panhou Village in the afternoon. Our eco-lodge is located in the heart of the Song chay mountains adjoining the Yunnan. This natural fortress has long been a refuge for many ethnic groups who have escaped from the Middle Kingdom, his persecution and its famines. You will have time to rest today before your trek that will start tomorrow morning.
You have the opportunity before your hiking day to enjoy your breakfast from the Panhou Village restaurant and, if you have get up early, a time in gardens of the eco lodge maintained by the Tays gardeners. You leave Panhou with your local guide at 9am to explore the nearby mountains through tropical forests and rice terraces. After a three hours walk, you are taking a break in a village of the Red Dao for lunch. By necessity, they have sculpted the mountainside and use its water courses to grow rice. These laborious adjustments who enable them to live in the heights, offer you some unique landscapes to contemplate. The cooler climate and fresh water in abundance also contribute to the growth of lush tea trees. You will reach another Red Dao village after a two hours walk that will allow you to discover the local vegetation, to meet with the local people and observe them in their daily activities.
Your trek is continuing, after leaving your host, through the cassava fields, the forests, the tea plantations towards the valley. After about three hours of walking, you are having a lunch break at Yen Son, another Red Dao Village. You are reaching in the mid afternoon the Lang Giang Valley.
Relax for awhile at our Panhou Retreat, then the shuttle car will pick you up and transfer you back to Hanoi.
