Villa Princière was built in 1962 for King Norodom Sihanouk by French architect Laurent Mondet and is one of the best surviving examples of New Khmer Architecture. Aman rebuilt it from old photographs and opened Amansara on 15 January 2003. The 24 suites are low, calm, and private; 13 have their own plunge pool, and the Two-Bedroom Pool Suite runs to 255 square meters. The circular dining room, two pools, and a holistic spa sit in the walled garden. Outside, Amansara keeps a Khmer Village House inside the Angkor park for breakfast or cooking classes between temples.
The real luxury is the program. Every stay includes a daily temple excursion with an English-speaking guide, so you see Angkor at dawn or late afternoon rather than with the midday crowds. Older couples find the pace exactly right. Children over ten enjoy the jeeps and bicycles; the resort runs a Family Adventure offer with private tours of Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, and Bayon.

Very much so. The resort is single-story and flat, suites open onto courtyards, and the temple excursions are timed early or late to avoid heat and crowds. Guides adjust walking distances, and the remork is a gentle way to move around town. We flag any mobility needs so the temple days are planned accordingly.
Yes. The resort runs a Family Adventure offer with private tours of Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, and Bayon, bicycle visits to jungle temples, and a cooking class at the Khmer Village House. The Two-Bedroom Pool Suite is the family option. Children over ten get the most from the long temple days.
A daily excursion with an English-speaking guide is part of every stay; the temple pass itself is not, and we add it to your quote. If you want sites further out, such as Koh Ker or Beng Mealea, our own guide and car cover those days.
