Quick answer
Yes, Metta Voyage helps travellers apply for the Vietnam e-visa through the only official portal, evisa.gov.vn. We check whether your passport needs a visa, review your photo and passport scan, file the application (or walk you through filing it yourself), track it and check the approved e-visa for typos. Apply at least one to two weeks before you fly; our service fee is quoted on request and the government fee (US$25 single entry, US$50 multiple entry) is paid separately at the official rate.

Government fees are paid at the official portal rate and are not refunded if an application is refused; Metta's service fee is separate and confirmed in your quote.
Tell us your nationality, arrival date, arrival airport and number of travellers through the form or WhatsApp. We confirm within 24 hours whether you need an e-visa at all.
Send a clear scan of your passport data page and a portrait photo. We check both against the portal's requirements before anything is submitted.
Once you approve the quote, we submit on evisa.gov.vn (or guide you line by line), pay or help you pay the government fee, and follow the application code.
We send you the approved e-visa PDF, check your name, passport number and dates letter by letter, and remind you to print a paper copy.
The Immigration Department’s official processing time is about three working days. Weekends and Vietnamese public holidays do not count, and around Tet (Lunar New Year) things can take longer. We recommend starting at least one to two weeks before your flight, and earlier if you are travelling in late January or February. We do not sell “one-hour” or “two-hour” urgent visas: the timing is set by the authorities, not by us, and anyone promising otherwise should make you cautious.
The e-visa can be issued for up to 90 days, single or multiple entry. If you plan to pop over to Cambodia or Laos and come back to Vietnam, ask for a multiple-entry e-visa from the start.
Travellers from the United States, Canada, Australia and India need an e-visa (or another valid visa) for a holiday in Vietnam. There is no visa exemption for these passports, so the e-visa is the simplest route for most trips.
British passport holders can currently enter visa-free for up to 45 days. Ireland, New Zealand and other nationalities have their own rules, so check the official exemption list or ask us. You only need an e-visa if you plan to stay longer than 45 days or hold a different passport. Our UK readers often start with our guide Vietnam tours from the UK.
Not sure? Send us your nationality and travel dates and we will tell you in plain English whether you need to apply. If you are visa-exempt, we will say so and you pay nothing.

Search “Vietnam visa” and the first results are often paid adverts for commercial sites with official-sounding names. Some charge several times the government fee for the same form. The only official portal is run by the Immigration Department of Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security:
Metta Voyage is a private, licensed travel company, not a government agency. We file on the official portal for you, and the visa decision always rests with Vietnam’s Immigration Department. For background reading, see our nine checks before you pay a tour operator.
If you are combining Vietnam with Angkor or the Mekong in Laos on a Metta itinerary, we can prepare those applications too:
Our assistance fee for Cambodia or Laos is quoted on request, and government fees are separate.

The form itself is not complicated. Most refusals and delays come from small errors: a photo with glasses, a cropped passport scan, a name typed in the wrong order, or the wrong arrival airport. A single wrong letter can mean a fresh application and a second government fee. We have handled visas for more than 10,100 guests across 2,000+ bookings since late 2019, and that experience shows in the details.
Yes. Holders of these passports need an e-visa or another valid visa for tourism in Vietnam. The e-visa is applied for online at evisa.gov.vn and allows stays of up to 90 days.
Not for a holiday of up to 45 days: UK passport holders are currently visa-exempt for that period. You need an e-visa only for longer stays or if you travel on another passport. Check the official exemption list before you fly.
No company can do that honestly. We remove the common errors that cause refusals and delays, but the decision is made by Vietnam’s Immigration Department, and the government fee is not refunded after a refusal.
Our assistance fee depends on the number of travellers and whether you add fast track or a tour, and we reply with a quote within 24 hours. The government fee of US$25 or US$50 is always shown separately.
Yes, but choose a multiple-entry Vietnam e-visa covering both entries. We plan this with you when we prepare your Indochina itinerary.
