My Lai is a small hamlet in Son My village, Quang Ngai province, 70km from Da Nang, which keeps evidence of crimes committed by the US military during the Vietnam War.
On March 16, 1968, My Lai was the site of a massacre during the Vietnam War that claimed the lives of 503 civilians. Including 182 women, 173 children, 60 elderly people. 24 families were murdered and 247 homes burned down. This evidence area is classified as a national historical and cultural relic.
