Official advice differs by country and by region, so please read your own government's advice first. The UK FCDO has no regional warning for Yangon and advises against all but essential travel to Mandalay Region (including Bagan and Mandalay) and southern Shan State (including Inle Lake); the US and Australia advise against all travel to Myanmar. We adjust routes to current travel advisories, do not plan routes into areas where the FCDO advises against all travel, and confirm each itinerary before booking. Travel insurance that covers your trip is required.
