FAQ

Questions travellers ask us

Free day-by-day itinerary within 24 hours. No payment before a written quote.

How many days do I need for Vietnam and Cambodia?

Eight to ten days covers the south of Vietnam and Angkor, or a fast north-to-south run with two days at Angkor. Fourteen days is the sweet spot for a first visit: Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Hoi An, Saigon and the Mekong Delta, then three days in Siem Reap. Three weeks lets you add Hue, Phnom Penh or Laos.

How much does a private Vietnam and Cambodia tour cost?

Our published private tours start from US$1,202 per person for 8 days by boat along the Mekong, US$1,313 for 8 days from Hanoi to Angkor and US$1,960 for 14 days, based on two travellers sharing with 4★ hotels. Flights from home and domestic flights are extra; your exact price is confirmed in your quote.

Which order is best: Vietnam first or Cambodia first?

Most travellers fly into Hanoi, travel south through central Vietnam to Saigon, then take the one-hour flight to Siem Reap and fly home from Cambodia. Reversing it works just as well. Travellers with time can go by boat along the Mekong from the delta to Phnom Penh.

Do I need two visas?

Yes, one for each country, and the rules depend on your passport. Most visitors use the official e-visa portals: evisa.gov.vn for Vietnam and evisa.gov.kh for Cambodia. We send you a checklist with your confirmed itinerary.

Is this trip suitable for older travellers or families with teenagers?

Yes. Every tour is private, so we set the pace, choose hotels with lifts and good locations, fly rather than drive long distances and keep early starts for the moments that need them, such as sunrise at Angkor Wat.
