Metta Voyage is proud to share the progress achieved on Sustainability Policy Implementation during the first six months of implementing our 2025–2027 Sustainability Action Plan. The plan centers around three key pillars: Environmental Protection, Social Responsibility, and Responsible Economic Development. Below are key updates and results from March to July 2025.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Paper Reduction in the Office
We launched a “Paperless Office” campaign across departments in March 2025. As of July, we’ve achieved a 35% reduction in paper consumption, largely by adopting digital contracts and internal e-forms.
Energy Efficiency Upgrades
Our Hanoi head office now runs entirely on LED lighting. Motion-sensor lighting has been installed in restrooms and hallways. These measures are expected to reduce electricity consumption by 20% annually.
Coastal Cleanup in Ha Long Bay
In a joint effort with our cruise partners in Ha Long Bay – Paradise Cruises, Metta Voyage initiated a coastal cleanup campaign in early June 2025. Staff, cruise crew members, and volunteers worked together to collect over 300 kilograms of waste along several lesser-known beaches and islets, helping to preserve the natural beauty of one of Vietnam’s most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
This initiative not only raised awareness among travelers and partners about marine conservation but also reinforced our belief that responsible tourism must go hand-in-hand with environmental stewardship.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Hybrid Work Support for Employees
Employees are now allowed to work from home up to 2 days per week, especially in roles involving administration and content development. This benefits working parents and improves staff well-being.
Community-Based Tourism in Ha Giang
In collaboration with local guides and homestay owners, we successfully operated 02 community-based tours to Dong Van and Meo Vac (Ha Giang Province). These tours enabled guests to experience ethnic minority cultures (H’Mong, Dao) while contributing to local income.
RESPONSIBLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
With extensive experience organizing tours, Metta Voyage has launched many new exclusive and high-end products, providing a variety of sustainable trips for travelers from around the world visiting Southeast Asia as a part of our Sustainability Policy Implementation.
- Electric shuttle services were piloted in our new “Hội An Eco Route” tour.
- We also introduced bike-friendly tours in Ninh Binh, Hoi An, Hue…, cutting down short-distance carbon emissions by an estimated 15%, expanding low-emission travel.
