To celebrate the Millennial Anniversary of Hanoi, the Hanoi Museum was started on May 19, 2008, and inaugurated on October 6, 2010. It has an area of more than 54,000 square meters and is home to more than 70,000 documents and artifacts representing thousands of years of history. 

The museum’s exhibitions cover several themes and topics that lure hundreds of tourists. With 7 themes and 33 sub-themes, the exhibitions in the Hanoi Museum perfectly embody different phrases of Hanoi’s development.

How to get to the Hanoi Museum

  • Address: Pham Hung Street, Me Tri Ward, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi
  • Method of transportation: bus, taxi, motorbike, car

If traveling by motorbike/ car, reach the Pham Hung – Khuat Duy Tien Intersection. The Hanoi Museum is just a short distance from there.

For those taking the bus, route no. 35A, 39, 50, and 60A all have stops directly heading to the museum.
