The Hanoi Museum is located on Pham Hung Street, in the former Nam Tu Liem District of Hanoi and is renowned for its unique architectural design. To celebrate the Millennial Anniversary of Hanoi, the Hanoi Museum was started on May 19, 2008, and inaugurated on October 6, 2010. It has an area of more than 54,000 square meters and is home to more than 70,000 documents and artifacts representing thousands of years of history.

What’s new for 2027
- Since 1 July 2025 Vietnam no longer has district-level units, and Me Tri Ward was merged into a new ward. The address below keeps the former Nam Tu Liem District name; map apps may show the new ward name.
- Entrance, guide and parking fees were removed because they change often; check them at the ticket desk, or visit with a private guide on one of our Hanoi tours.

If traveling by motorbike/ car, reach the Pham Hung – Khuat Duy Tien Intersection. The Hanoi Museum is just a short distance from there.
For those taking the bus, route no. 35A, 39, 50, and 60A all have stops directly heading to the museum.
